Title: worker timeout on Startup (fixed as of v2.5)

For some reason I can\'t get a complete scan on this machine, just the Startup tab.  Everything else works on this machine and on other machines.  Any ideas on what might be causing this timeout?

Hi, are you saying there is just one remote machine where timeout is happening on Startup or are all machines timing out on Startup items?

Yes, just one is timing out.  I'm testing on a home network running as a workgroup, two machines are running Win2k SR4 and one running XP Pro SR1. One of the Win2k machines is timing out.

Also, the two that do work don't display items in the Programs - Startup group, just stuff from the registry.

I might be running an old version so I downloaded a fresh copy of Newt and will install it and see if I see the same thing.

At this time, NEWT Pro only shows registry startup info, however we will be adding Programs/Startup group info soon.

The version on our web site is actually our first release, so no newer version is available yet.

As for the timeout on Startup on your W2K, it sounds like a possible bug in the software, but we haven't received any other reports about it.  We may contact you through email to get this resolved.
