i simply love this program, and will be putting in a purchase order for it. however, i do have a problem because many of the fields are filled with the following message:
WMI: The RPC server is unavailable. (Error: 7023174)
Any ideas on what\'s wrong?
-
Thank you! Could you check to see if the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service is running on the remote machine?
-
i have checked the remote machine, and wmi is running.
this is a windows xp sp2 pc on a windows sbs2003 network.

Ah, ok. Then this could also be related to a Firewall Group Policy setting. Could you check the Group Policy Editor on the server and set the \"Allow remote administration exception\" to Enabled?
It can usually be found in the following path:
Administrative Templates\\Network\\Network Connections\\Windows Firewall\\Domain Profile

awesome! that did the trick. expect an order from me in the next few days!

Thank you, we will look into this. We\'re still working out our services structure in a new version in development and we\'ll make sure to work with Microsoft to get it approved.
