Title: Internet Explorer Not In Software Inventory

Licensed for 200 nodes. Scanning approx. 130 machines. Previous version (2.2) software tab item count was 14,699. Software item count using current version (2.5 Build 62) is 4,718. Also, we\'ve noticed that Internet Explorer was inventoried in our previous version but is not included in the current software inventory. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there, we apologize for the trouble.  IE should actually not be inventoried in the previous version either, at least under Software.  Technically it was listed, but only as something like \"IE40\", which doesn\'t give much info.  However, the IE version installed should be under the Network tab.  At the far right you should see the IE version.  This is a special scan item and hasn\'t been included under Software.  In the future we may move \"Windows\" and IE over to the Software tab.  So it could be you were thinking the old version showed IE under Software when it was really under Network.

As far as the number of Software items, it\'s more or less due to our exclusion of Hotfixes and System Components.  Hot Fixes being redundant since they\'re under the Hot Fixes tab.  We may add the option in later to show Hot Fixes/Components under Software in a future version.
