Title: Scan on Linux servers?
Post by: David on August 05, 2009, 03:01:47 PM
I would like to scan my linux servers. I have trolled around the forums and website but did not see any info on Linux scans.

At this moment in time I have only attempted to scan two of the servers - one had centOS installed the other openSUSE. For the test I made sure that the firewall was off of those two boxes, etc. I am still unable to connect even when I supply the root username and password

Let me know if there is anything else I can try.

D.

Hi David.  Linux machines require a different method of scanning the Windows.  Newt doesn\'t have this yet, but we definitely have plans for it.  We\'re just a little behind right now, but we are working to improve Newt.

By the way, we tried emailing you at the address you signed up with and the address we have for you previously, and we get this error in a return email:

SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<private.private@padtinc.com>:
host mail.padtinc.com: 550 Requested action not taken:  mailbox unavailable

Any idea what this would be?
