Newt Pro 1.0 MAC address scan vanishes

Upon connecting before doing the first scan ( when it populates the network machines) I can see a MAC address for every machine listed, when I do the Discovery scan suddenly many of those tun to MAC not returned...  Im just confused why they see the addresses at one time, then when I scan the machines it vanishes?
