Hi, we\'re currently evaluating the 10 user version of NEWT Pro, and have noticed that our test machine running ZoneAlarm has flagged up an exe attempting to access the internet.

Program in question is extinfo.exe, assigned to Komodo Labs.

This is not the machine on which we are running NEWT, but one of the machines being scanned.

Can you advise what is being executed, and what information is being transmitted?

We are very impressed with the software, and the possibilities that it affords us, but are concerned about this one item.

Thanks in advance

Hello and thanks for the compliments!

Yes, there is a scan item that accesses the Internet to get your Public Internet IP address.

This can be turned off under Scan Items and is referenced there as \"IP Address (Internet IP)\" under the Network heading.

Disabling this item should alleviate your problem if you don\'t find this scan item useful.
