All the scan properties etc are working, I can select the machines to scan I just can\'t scan them! I have gone through the forums but nothing seems to give me the answer I am looking for. please help!

Hi again,

figured it out it was the wonderful windows XP firewall that was blocking it! I set it to unblock everything to do with NEWT and it works fine!:D

Hi.  Well you can do one of two things.  You can either disable the firewall entirely through Control Panel & Security Center.  Or in the same panel you can choose to enable the \"File and Printer Sharing\" exception and \"Remote Administration\" if there is one.

After this you should be able to scan, and generally access that machine through the network.
