WMI RPC Server Unavailable (fixed as of v2.5)
« on: January 19, 2007, 07:44:15 PM »
I have gone through all the articles on this site that refer to the WMI RPC Server Unavailable but still have an issue with a single Win XP SP2 machine.  Some fields do return information to the scan, but most do not.

I have turned off the firewall on that machine and made sure the WMI service is running.  I was going to look at the Group Policy however mine does not have the full path specified in order to make any changes.  I downloaded the OpenFirewallForWMI script that is supposed to solve that error however it comes up with a \"no more endpoints available for the endpoing mapper.  Code: 800706D9\".  I am at the latest version of Pro.

Hello.  Could you see if you\'re able to run the following WMI script locally on that machine?

It should just show the WMI version running.  If you get an error with it, then WMI could be corrupt on that machine.
