system temperature

how is this measured?
i have several machines that show 85 degrees
whereas all other temp readings appear normal
hd , cpu etc show around the 40 degree mark

Hi.  System Temperature is derived from the BIOS and sometimes this value can be incorrect, but is provided for completeness.  We plan on indicating this in the software later, but if you\'re getting a CPU Temperature, you should go off that since it\'s much more accurate.  The hard drive temperature is also very accurate.
