Hi, and thanks for letting us know about those. We'll get them fixed in the very next v2.5 maintenance update.
We double checked issues with Win 8/8.1, but wasn't able to replicate the problem. There could be a different setting you're using that we're not causing this, but we'll get with you in private and try to work it out, especially if you're able to replicate it easily.
We'll contact you about the beta as well!
