« on: March 30, 2011, 02:27:42 PM »
I\'m getting this error on just some XP Pro Machines.
We are a workgroup.
I can\'t access using IE although I can use the same log on at the workstation.
Remote access is allow with Remote Desk Top.
Please Help.

Hi Bill.  It was Microsoft\'s policy to lock down XP by default back in the day and was done by changing the default security model.

Could you give this a try and see if it fixes your issue?  I don\'t think it requires a reboot.

I tried that an no luck. Do I need to change something other than local accounts?

That\'s very strange since from what I can find, LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy seems to only be a Vista/Win7 setting.  It allows network access to Vista & Win7 PCs on workgroups when UAC is enabled, which is also a very common issue.  I can\'t seem to find anything about LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy as it relates to XP.  But if it worked for you, that\'s very good to know!
